Third and market
The corner of Third,
Kearny, and Market is where the busy life of the city centers. So many people
leave the car at this point that 'tis evident there is something doing, and meekly
enough I fall in line with the crowd.
The three morning papers seek companionship upon the corners here. The Chronicle
with its clock tower; the Examiner Building in Spanish style and the Call Tower,
rising fifteen stories to a fine dome.
Note: The Chronicle is not shown. The Call Building has the columns at right;
the Examiner Building at center. Palace Hotel in the distance. A fine view of
