The need in Santa Barbara is even more poignant than appeared in the weird and numb days immediately following the earthquake disaster. The Methodist Episcopal church is now razed to the ground.
The Board of Home Missions and Church Extension will make a gift and a loan. Within two days I have met Mr. Patterson who is organizing the lay forces for relief.
Now, let all our people clothe these plans with the garments of joyous and sacrificial beneficence.
